03 — Competition / Identity

Athlete Portraits
Creative Direction · Photography · Graphic Design · Image Treatment

Competition / Identity is a double-exposure portrait series exploring the relationship between identity, competition, and performance. Studio portraits are layered with documentary game imagery, allowing moments of action, environment, and intensity to become part of each athlete’s visual identity.
Through selective color, compositing, and controlled image treatment, each portrait becomes more than a traditional sports photograph—it functions as a visual record of the athlete’s experience. The project combines photography and graphic design to create expressive, story-driven images that balance individual personality with the energy of competition.

04 - SPLIT/SELF

Portrait & Color Study

Creative Direction · Photography · Makeup Artistry · Image Treatment

A portrait series exploring duality through photography, body paint, and digital image treatment. Serving as creative director, makeup artist, photographer, and retoucher, I developed a consistent split-face structure—one half restrained and monochromatic, the other transformed through saturated color and graphic mark-making. The repeated framework unifies the series while giving each subject a distinct visual identity.
